Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in your desired color(s)
- Crochet hook (size H/5mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Make a slip knot and chain 4 stitches.
- Slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop.
- Chain 2 stitches, then work 11 double crochet stitches into the center of the loop. You should have a total of 12 stitches, including the chain 2.
- Slip stitch into the top of the chain 2 to join the round.
- Chain 2, then work a double crochet stitch into the same stitch as the chain 2. Then work 2 double crochet stitches into each stitch around the circle. You should have a total of 24 stitches.
- Slip stitch into the top of the chain 2 to join the round.
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle.
- Insert the needle under the back loop of the next stitch and pull the yarn through.
- Insert the needle under the back loop of the next stitch and pull the yarn through again. Continue in this manner, working your way around the circle.
- Once you have worked your way around the circle, pull the yarn tight to cinch the center of the flower closed.
- Tie a knot to secure the yarn, then weave in any remaining ends with the tapestry needle.
